Same place, same crime | Driver CAUGHT using mobile phone on same road as fatal crash

In 2021 PC Lee Blaney attended a fatal collision on the A1(M) at Bowburn caused by a driver using his mobile phone. Last week he pulled over another driver in the same spot, for the same offence….

Anyone who thinks this is harsh needs to watch Durham Constabulary's video of the horrendous crash the officer was talking about. Listen to the people who were there, the grieving relatives and even the driver responsible sitting in prison, in tears, expressing his sorrow. It's a shattering video.

The problem is also tailgating by hgv's and the poor standards of driving. As A HGV driver myself with 40 years exp, it is shocking to see all this loss of life.

The law needs to be changed and make using a mobile a instant ban for drivers for 3 mths with £1000 fine.


Where I make videos on Drive To Survive But I have often wondered if I will get home tonight without getting killed, you have got to ask the question why are people driving so poorly?.

To many people are losing their live and getting injured on British roads, from 2000 to 2023,

5 million people was killed and injured (55.000) people lost their live on UK roads in 23 years.

Yes that figure is correct 55k killed in 23 years, that is nearly 60, 500 gallons of peoples blood by being killed.

All it takes is just 1 second and your dead.

Your too soft policemen/woman they carry on using it regardless, you can park up on any street an watch the traffic pass you an all you see are people using there phone, so i would say ban em its a criminal offence to use your phone, ban em for a year an nake them no you mean buisness
