Honestly, the cinematography of old films like these are picturesque af!! Like detailed paintings made into a movie. A marvel that can never be emulated by modern post processing. Idk, , there's just this magic around it that I cant put my finger into.

Brigitta and Kurt’s looks of slow realization are just wonderful, like they’re hearing the sound of hope and joy returning to them. Maria’s voice restores to their souls that incomparable feeling of warmth that a good mother brings to her children. Amazing acting by young Angela Cartwright and Duane Chase.
