To people comparing these people to athletes/sportsmen:

-Gamers with health problems? Please, what about all the stories of sportsmen getting into drugs, things that literally make you go insane, things that are ILLEGAL. Getting obese is one thing, taking drugs is something very difficult to recover from.

-Sports teams are up against other small sports teams; there are only a handful of teams they have to play against to win. There are 3 teams in this competition - they've been up against the entire WORLD of Dota 2 players to get to this point and there's a huge amount of them.

-Money? This is $1 Million.

-Nerdy? Geeky? People, this is 2014. More people own a gaming platform than a football. That's the reality - it's mainstream now. Get used to it. It WILL become a national sport, whether you like it or not. It's only going to get bigger from here-on-out.

This is not a documentary stating how gaming is great or be on par as other other pro sports. comparing pro gaming to sports is like comparing a cruise liner to a jumbo size jet, it will get you to places, but you are comparing two different things. This is about life as a pro gamer, the sacrifices people had to make in order to try to become the best in the world and hopefully, helps propel us into the next generation of competitive gaming. as basketball and football (soccer) first started, people wondered who would watch this? This documentary will maybe explain it, maybe just a little what the people in the gaming community are trying to one day hope to achieve.

As a older player of games I never thought that Games would become so rich and immersive. Who would ever had thought that gaming would become a team sport. Rock on man. That feeling as a gamer. Glad I started playing Dota 9 years ago and watched/observed/played it as it progressed over the years. I stopped playing few years back but I still play once in a while. Then Dota 2 came out and it made me even more happier and started playing a lot again. I never regret playing dota and will continue playing because I enjoy it. It kinda sad though because people misunderstand us most of the time, oh wait, I mean all the time. Will definitely watch this. Nice one Valve.
