From Season 7 - Episode 1 (Dragonstone) Queen Daenerys Targaryen along with her closest advisers – Tyrion Lannister, Varys, Missandei, and Grey Worm – land at Dragonstone island, as all three of her dragons circle overhead.

An emotionally loaded scene for so many reasons: Dragonstone is where Dany was born, where her mother died, the only place in Westeros she spent time at before fleeing, its a historic symbol of her family, and its her first time back in Westeros since leaving. Anyone would be overwhelmed in Dany's shoes.

I always love how she touches the sand when she arrives. It’s her way of saying she has arrived home.

Imagine what her mother Queen Rhaella Targaryen must be feeling knowing that her daughter is back in the place she was born with three full grown dragons, the symbol of power in their family lost to them for more than a century.

Up until last week's HOTD 2x2, it makes me all the more emotional to know that Jace, Luke and Rhaenyra all once shared their joy, sadness and grief in these very halls.

Its even more painful after the House of we can understand Why Targaryens deserves the Westros ❤ After watching House of the dragon...its understandable how dragonstone belongs to Daenerys❤...We all know the feeling very well that returning home after staying too many years outside

Only after reading about Aegon and after watching House of Dragons I could grasp the huge importance of this scene. She came as a conqueror as Aegon before her!

This scene was so impactful. This was her homecoming.. Dragonstone is her ancestral home… her literal home. The seat of the entire Targaryen dynasty… the history, the events, the legends and their dragons who roamed the halls and ruled the skies. Tearing down the Baratheon banner that took it all away.. You can see the overwhelming emotions on her face and even as she approached the throne that so many of her predecessors sat upon, Missandei making greyworm back up basically telling him this is her moment… think we were all just waiting for someone to say: Welcome home Queen Daenerys

every time i see this scene i think of that quote, and especially now with house of the dragon, it really hits home how special dany and her dragons are. for the first time in centuries, dragons at dragonstone. one of my all time favorite scenes from the series. like to pretend it ended here!
