all glass condense water when completely covered. when you drill make sure you don't shuve it in like you did thats get stuck. always put on the drill full blast before drill this way you'll have a perfectly smooth drilling

Before consuming your water boil 1/2 a cup completely off and check visually for any residue or left over minerals. There should be none if your setup is working properly.

Distilled water absorbs minerals. I wonder what was being absorbed from the old beat up collection tray and the plastic collection cup. Use glass.

Something similar to this should be built all along the California Pacific coast to help California overcome the present drought.  Crops grow much better with distilled water than with processed treated water.  Water does not need to be boiled in order to distill it. Possibly a vacuum pump also would help to increase the water volume output.

btw tip when you set this up,  you want to make it have legs/ support ( bottom) to not conduct heat away from your source. Could insulate the water area with foam  or double the glass. These could greatly increase the effectiveness of using this.

I used my used underwear instead of socks is that ok? . I also used my yard stick that you taught me how to make in one of your videos to make a larger scale of the distillery now I bottle all the water I make and store it in my basement to enhance it unique taste.
