I do not care if people like or dislike CROB's new update. Even if you dislike the update, just please respect other people's opinion on liking the update instead of putting them down and saying "Oh, you like the update? You are uncultured" or "You like the designs of the Yogurca cookies? You are a racist for calling the designs pretty". No one should feel guilty for something they like instead of getting lectured and despised!

I understand the people's reasoning for not liking these outfits because they think that the "stereotypical" Middle Eastern/Indian designs look offensive and racist. What many people don't know is that the Arabian/Indian style is inspired from an Middle Eastern fairy tale called "Arabian Nights", a collection of stories made by several authors. The reasoning for the Arabian and Indian designs is because the authors are from the Middle East, India, Iran, and China. It's unknown what the characters in the stories actually look like sense its made by several authors from different countries, so illustrators mixed the outfit designs of the cultures together.

I understand why people are upset about the jelly bomb set and Peppercorn Cookie because they think that its associated with "terrorists" sense Yogurca is based around an Arabian place.
In my opinion, I see the whole bomb situation as an overreaction. First of all, bombs are just explosive weapons. Second, Peppercorn Cookie isn't even from Yogurca according to the leaks found. Third, if bombs are becoming a bigger issue in CROB, mind as well remove Cherry Cookie off the game. Not only is she using bombs, Cherry Cookie literally commited a terrorist attack on a farmer's market to help Pancake Cookie get rid of the vegetables.

I really like Yogruca characters villains and heroes. Yoghurt and Lilac are just ❤
Centipede cookie is very cool design wise, and her personality is fun.
But I didn’t pay attention to new jelly bean designs omg wtf were they thinking 😭
(Honestly I can deal with second new cookie being bomber because we have Cherry cookie and Poison Mushroom and they are not Arabian inspired. So for me it kinda balance things out.)
But NOTHING balances that jelly set out omg it’s horrible 😬

Honestly without the problematic aspects the characters feel repetitive too. I mean this could be so easily avoided, there’s so many interesting aspects of arab culture thats not related to thievery/violence they couldve made characters out of

I'm personally not apart of the culture that Yogurca is based off of so take me with a grain of salt but I personally believe it was another simple slip up on the Ovenbreak team's part, it seemed like they made certain improvements with how they portrayed the other people in the towns to how the costumes looked slightly more culturally accurate but then completely messed up with the jelly set theme and Peppercorn Cookie . I don't believe they meant harm with this one and it did seem like they were trying to make an attempt to get things right this time but it's a bit clear that they probably should've cooled it on so many harsh characters this time . From what it seems both new cookies aren't exactly the most likeable and the fact that Chili Pepper is going to be involved at all when she's supposed to be a rude conniving thief could also show some offense . I mildly don't understand how people see it so drastically though . Of course this is from an outside perspective when it comes to why people of this culture and seeing some of their reactions to it but outside of the bomb related things I'm not quite sure how it could be seen as overly offensive, a bit stereotypical sure but the update isn't as focused on the whole cultural thing as it is its own story . Besides the designs and a few other elements, it's not trying to be a perfect depiction or anything and it's not trying to be malicious in any sense . I just believe the jelly set and the secondary cookie should be more heavily changed or taken out entirely . But outside of that Yogurca wasn't even focused on too much, the focus was more on Lilac Cookie . Which is shown to be more caring, same with Scorpion . I just believe it was a bad time and some distasteful choices got them a bit in hot water . Considering their lack of response they're probably trying to see what they can do right now . I'd say we should wait to see if they'll issue a response or something .

This is bad in some many levels. But being objective, this is not the worst update.
-Improvements in the raid run
-Buffs to forgotten cookies
-Reduction to the league point to get the legendary treasures making more accessible.
The only bad thing apart the polemic stuff is we have another legendary treasure for the pay2win. In conclusion no this is not the worst update, at least not in comparison to the 6th anniversary.

I’ll admit the jelly set was in poor taste, but while they’re set in a real location based region, I think we forget that this is more based on the fantasy elements of Middle Eastern stories. It feels that the amount of antagonists are fine despite the literal fact that one of them is trying to kill his own brother cause most of these plots need an antagonist apparently. I can’t toss judgment onto Peppercorn yet cause yes, they’re a bomber, it’s either a reference to smoke bombs or it’s kinda like spice that give food a burst of flavor. And we already have a terroristic character in Cherry Cookie but she’s fine cause she’s not from the fictional region based on the Middle East, I guess.

My final point is that while it is pretty bad from the get go before release, I think we got too judgmental cause the quality in game isn’t that bad and the second cookie needs to have a character fleshed out before immediately screaming “they’re a bomber so they’re saying Muslims are terrorists”. They did some offensive junk but if it’s just for the updates concerning Yogurca, it pretty much screams to me that apparently this place shouldn’t exist. It’s a game that isn’t totally accurate to real life. We shouldn’t get that butthurt over it.

You know, for me (and for some other people) the only thing that concerns is "bomb" stuff. Some people don't care about this "stereotypic" stuff (I remember seeing Reddit reply from Middle East guy that literally says "It's funny to me that Middle East players concerned about it less than Western players", which already says a lot.) Some people get offended by that, some don't, so it's not that big of an issue.

But then... The bombs. Dude... It's not a great thing itself (however, some explosive stuff exists in CROB such as Cherry Cookie and Melon Dynamite treasure, but they are not region related) but it's the timing that made it worse. And it seems that Devsis try to do something about it. Not sure what they will do to Peppercorn Cookie (I think maybe they will make her bombs into "smoke bombs" which will make more sense since when you pound peppercorns, you get pepper powder), but they already tried to somehow fix Jelly Shape Set fiasco. Firstly, they removed part about Jelly Shapes from Update Preview, then they remodeled Rainbow Bear Jelly to have more surprised expression instead of 😐 expression and removed the strapped detonator, and they also renamed set from "Boom Kaboom" to "Bear Blast", which is more neutral. Oh, and "Bomb Jelly" is "'Cannonball Jelly" now (however they don't look like cannonball, but they tried). However, some stuff is still left like bombs in Main Breakout 7-1 Stage, but that doesn't seem that big of an issue, it easily can be fixed, unlike these 2 elephants in a room.

So... Is it worst? No, could've been even worse. But it's not the best. It's okay-ish, some stuff can be fixed still until it's not too late.
