Centre Expands Ayushman Bharat Scheme To Cover Senior Citizens Above Age Of 70 Years | Key Benefits!

The Centre made a significant announcement on Wednesday, expanding the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana to include senior citizens aged 70 and above. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed that the scheme will now cover 4.5 crore families, which includes 6 crore senior citizens. Under this scheme, they will receive free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

I got two queries. 1) lam 80 years old male. I do not have any health insurance policy. Suppose any health problem which necessitates admission in a hospital for treatment or operation, what are all documents should I possess for getting free treatment? 2) If there are 2 or more senior citizens over the age of 70, will all of them get 5 lakhs free health insurance in a year, separately? The right persons may please enlighten people like me
