The moment he said he wasn’t hungry or thirsty, I knew, “Yeah, this guy is going to be here forever.”

I feel like this road is a pretty apt allegory for life, particularly at the advice that was given; "I told you son, there ain't no 'place' to reach. There's just the road and wherever you decide to stop driving."

Used to be a trucker. The solitary musing of this SCP resonates with me on a deep level.

I wonder if this guy will ever truly know that he’s single handedly helped me fight back anxiety attacks for years

I just realized the bag the D class was holding was literally “emotional baggage”

Maybe the real anomalies were the friends we made along the way

The true wonder of an scp is when it can take you on a trip without ever leaving home. Just like a good book found at a library by chance.

The somber scps are honestly the best ones. Got me into scp in the first place

Yeah world ending SCPs are cool but you know what else is equally cool if not better? Articles that make the reader feel melancholic.

My friend and I genuinely cried at the end of this. Not because it's a GOOD ending, in the traditional sense, but just because it was so fitting. It never even says if he really found anything at the "end" of the road, only that it seemed like he truly found peace for himself.

We can only be so lucky to have an ending like that.

LOL. Never thought I'd hear TES singing "Put the Lime in the Coconut" but here we are.

Also, I kinda feel bad for poor Brenda.

I actually cried a little at the end, i'm so used to these narrations discussing out of hand, unfathomable, world-breaking concepts, but the simplicity of this one makes it far more grounded, a literal metaphor for life that we can all understand..

I want to be believe he discovered that the journey was the destination; that leaving behind something that “matters” is a life lived and a road traveled to its end.

Halfway thru the reading, this feels exactly like being a passenger on a very long roadtrip, very cozy and relaxing, the story feels like it was made to be presented in this exact way (reffering to the reading), great narration as usual

"Oh and the kids, Mommy still loves you.. I guess you're too old for that now huh"

Fucking christ I have never teared up faster

These sorta melancholy SCPs are probably among my favourites. This, the Class of 76 cannon, even that thing a quiet madness made, the jazz lover from the musical SCPs video...

Something about those just hits different.

I think the lack of background music throughout the reading is a really nice touch. Great reading good sir

That feeling when you notice a tear welling up, but don’t cry, and just smile. Thank you for sharing.

That was beautiful. By far, for me, the best one you’ve covered.

Thanks.
