This is from my interview with Daniel Yergin, the Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Prize - the best history of oil ever written (which makes it the best history of the 20th century ever written).

The full interview is up on my channel now!

As quoted from the U.S. Department of Energy:

"The United States produced more crude oil than any nation at any time, according to our International Energy Statistics, for the past six years in a row.11 Mar 2024"

The US produces 21.91 miilion barrels daily which is 22% of the world total. Second is Saudi Arabia producing 11.13 million barrels daily, 11% of world total.

Anything to hobble the envious invader and humiliate the post Yeltsin regime.

Europe survived but considerably diminished so that American influence in much stronger. Managed to make US hegemony stronger than it's been in decades

I think people who have to drink the ground water in areas where fracking happen would be happier than Vladimir Putin

*dependent. The word he should had said is dependent, independence has opposite meaning.

The US could literally supply the entire world. Alaska alone has as much oil as Saudi Arabia

A good administration would still use its power to make sure that supporting our allies doesn’t come at the expense of our citizens. Exporting oil should happen only if domestic oil prices are still reasonable for everyday people

Technically the EU still importing Russian LNG more than american gas or oil in that fact

The gas didn’t get cut off to Europe that’s why it survived.

Also, the EU has reached 50% electricity from renewable. And had start having before LNG facilities. This actually took the brunt if EU hadn't invest so heavily on Renewables will be in real trouble.

I think he misspoke when he said “because the U.S. would no longer be energy ‘independent’”. Meant “dependent”.

More proof that we need to get off fossil fuel and embrace alternative energy. The US nor Europe would depend on Russia or anyone if we embraced new energy tech

Europe survived by paying a higher price that’s why Germany manufacturing sector can’t compete with the rest of the world.

How far down underground do property owners have property ownership rights? Does that vary from state to state or is that a national legal standard?

Have anyone seen putin show these kind of emotions in public. Putin didn't cut off the gas, the pipe line were blown. For old people to lie is distasteful.

Shale gas; yep, we have it — along with arguably the unhealthiest populations in the areas of production.
We cannot live without water, and we are (with fracking and chemical products in other areas) rapidly destroying our water supply.

It's not about Europe survival without Russian oil and gas. It's about US oil and gas market in Europe.

Europe survived but the economic sucks because they are having to buy very expensive fuel from US. US is the only one profiting from the war

Wishful thinking, the US is one of a few places in the world that are completely self sufficient in resources and energy.
