This is the MasterChef Canada season 7 semifinal. The chefs will have 75 minutes to demonstrate their culinary range by showcasing one of four ordinary ingredients: onions, carrots, cabbages, and beets, in a three-course meal.

Christopher won the competition, but Andrew showed himself to be the best overall cook this season. Hasn’t happened too often, best I can think of is maybe Aaron during Trevor’s winning season. Phenomenal season, great talent. Would need another season of fresh talent but wouldn’t be opposed to a return season after that.

I love Christopher, and I adore him and am so happy he won. I've adored him since his chocolate opera cake. But gosh, Andrew was a god this season and this cabbage was the only thing that stood between him and the Masterchef title.

Andrew seems like he’s not only a great cook but also just a great guy. He took the loss with grace and left with absolute class. It’s too bad to see that someone as talented as he is can go home on one slightly poorly executed dish.

I'd say he just got unlucky but he can cook better than the last dishes he served and probably even better than the other remaining contestants. Everyone has bad days and the fact that u only get one chance in mc canada is the reason he got eliminated. For instance, a contestant in mc australia is eliminated when they've cooked bad dishes in a row. It's just the format of this version that requires a contestant to be super consistent which ain't possible unless ur a robot.
