We practically lived on our bikes as kids and if we didn't fix the flats they just didn't get fixed. These days I've known a few adults that are so baffled by flat tires they just sell the bike or throw it out.

Just tried this after watching this video cutting up my old innertube and doubling it. Best thing I've ever done. Actually more bump resistant too can't feel the road as much. I love it. Less punctures and a more comfy ride. Thank you!

I tried that and it help some. I just put an old bike tire inside the tire and then the inner tube. So far so good.

Great video, wish I would have known about this growing up, put on lots and lots of patches and then replaced tubes when we could not patch them anymore. Thanks for sharing.

You actually don't need to cut it down the middle. I just cut the valve off and put it in the tire and then put the good tire under that.

I use the same size tube as it helps with install.  Been doing this for years.  But one tube is not enough. You need the primary tube to be thorn resistant, then use 2 regular tubes silt as liners. then you will not get flats.

Great tip Moe, I wonder if you could insert a strip of thin aluminum flashing before adding the recycled tube. Maybe glue the aluminum to the inner tire and have the extra tube protect the main tube from any wear from the aluminum.

Thanks for this. Never got a flat tire again even when I accidentally ran through glass

Great tip! I have a dolly that loses air in one tire, but not enough for me to locate the leak. Same with wheel barrow.

I thought this was the direction you were headed. Clever stuff. Will do. Thanks!

New tubes, what a crap. I'm restoring an old Swedish 50's moped and found the original orange(!) tube still on one of the wheels. Real rubber and SUPER flexible (slingshot quality) after 60 years. They don't make them like that anymore.

Tried that but we have goat heads you could use for nails. I finally double tired my grandkids bikes. Never had to fix another flat no matter how many goat heads they got in their tires.

Good tip! Perhaps some spray adhesive to hold it in place.

Good idea but won't work in Bakersfield, trying a used thin tire in a tire that's new, same size. The thin is cut and shaped to fit in the new
Lasted about a year, well until the new went bald. And I'm motorized...

I'm on euc and my tube on new rim with new ture lasts aprox 10 hours of use per tube utter failure at valve. Currently I'm trying filling a tubless with rubber. So far I've rode 1 hour ok yaye.
I'm dune with tube after tube x5. Heavey duty pift made zero difference.
It's the valves just get stretched away from tube until snap no matter the tyre pressure.
I looked at tannus airless and companies that fill tyres with rubber. I thought hay that's me.
Anyway 5c opinions.

Good Tip. Now if we could only find a way to keep them from losing air.
