I had one and got it replaced under warranty when it failed. Now the replacement is acting up. As much as I like the unit and Mackie, it’s time to move on.

Mine just did the same thing. Sadly you can't order a new part that you mentioned below in your comments. I loved this device. Moving on to something else now it seems

Right Now, the same problem with me. Also 2 years of use. I opened and cleaned all boards, but no sound yet.

A couple months of use and mine won’t make any sound out of nowhere but my Apollos workin just fine

It’s is the USB port on the back of the interfaces I swapped it out now it works fine

I also got some issues after 1, 5 years, my right channels are louder and sound is colored. So sad that this studio gear is defect within 2 years

Have you had any luck fixing this? Mine just started doing this. My lights are also all the way up. I think I’ve had mine less than a month.

has anyone have where it seems like the talkback mic is always activated creating large amount of background noise and is being pickup even with out a track being armed ?

I’ve had mine for a year now and my signal levels got stuck today “OL” which is red hot. Can’t hear no sound from my monitors. I’m so angry right now!

I have one of these. Similar problem. In mine the USB interface sub card had a bad component on the USB board that is dragging down the -15 volt power supply for the entire unit. No schematics available for this from Mackie or elsewhere. New USB board from Mackie is about $ 85.00

ITS NO GOOD. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, AND SWEETWATER SENT ME ANOTHER BIG KNOB STUDIO PLUS, AND NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THAT ONE AS WELL..

Been looking at some videos with this issue and someone said they opened the back of the big knob and unplugged the usb connection and it worked

Yo, i have had two now. The first one i had for 1 year then walked into my room one day and touched the knob and had an electrical shock and right after the meter failed and stayed full tilt. Everything else worked all the features but i needed the levels to work to gauge whats happening In or or Out so i dumped it for a bill because it still worked but when it comes to music levels are part of the math. I wished the meter bridge was below the know and B the meter bridge larger but i have had a new one replaced by Mackie and it has been working 100 for The mackie replaced my Presonus Central Station which I loved having the weighted meters but the Satellite unit died on me so i sold it and the Mackie replaced it and came with recording inputs so it kept the vibe analog so i am with it

I replaced my USB board twice, weak component. Easy fix, Got boards on EBAY. $14.00 SELLER not there anymore. Mine out again. Searching for the part again.

Bro Just Got One of those knob plus. For My birthday 2 Days Ago The Same Exact Problem I haven't even get the chance to listen or operate...Meters on the dash board was already peaking for what who knows im returning it back tomorrow To get me a new one or get my money back....i know they work really well great quality sound but this idk doc. I had the same issue there is no fix . Sweetwater just replaced mine.
