My personal experience is....I’ve ridden s1000rr’s, s1000r, gsxr 1000 of which I currently own, Honda’s, Yamaha’s, all sorts of bikes. I recently took a trip to my local Harley dealership and test road an iron 1200 which I loved!! Just wanted more power then I took the street Bob out with a stage one fitted. I can honestly say it’s the best bike I have ever ridden. I have never been on a bike that makes you feel some thing special inside. It moved my soul!! I’m Someone who likes speed and getting on it. The street Bob was amazing. My bike is currently for sale and I’ll be buying a street Bob as soon as lock down is over.

Coming from a sport bike background I was pleasantly surprised by the handling of the Softail chassis. Loving my '20 Slim.

I love my street bob. I take it out on long trips fairly often. Having the smaller tank can be a downside to a lot of people, but its not really a problem for me. After 100 miles I'm ready to get off for a couple minutes and stretch my legs. Loving the content man

Just bought my 2020 softail standard last month, and coming from a Rebel 500, its a shaker, and definitely a mover! I can only imagine the shake on the Dynas.

M8 Softail is what sold me on a harley for sure.
M8 is a bad ass and great engine, and the M8 Fat Boy is the best looking stock bike I've ever seen AND it does everything I want out of a bike and nothing I dont. No things i have to fix to like it. Only optional upgrades that I want to do.
I'm hoping to grab one this spring.

Softail street bob 659 stock, dyna street bob weight 667. dyna lowrider was listed at 666 lbs via harley. fxlrs 680 lbs. they are all relatively heavy.

Agree with you 100%, but with a caveat re: suspension. The dual shock setup of the dyna had better damping than the mono shock in the uncommon instance of hitting a bump followed by subsequent bump in rapid succession. This is a minor quibble however.

Sounds like you’re trying to convince yourself why your bike is “better”. Bro they aren’t even the same. They only share the name. They share nothing in terms of engine or chassis. No offense but no one would take a new lowrider S over the original. Your whole style is based off the dyna bros mobbing their bikes for years. Youre just another YouTuber hipster. Lame duck on his tranny tail.

I was looking at getting a street bob for my first Harley, but I did just did not fit comfortably on it. (I'm 6'5) Super disappointed! However, I sat on the heritage classic and loved it. Faith restored! Happy riding.

I wanted a dyna wide glide really bad until I rode one. Man they shake so bad. My hand goes numb after a ten minutes of riding.

After putting on the SE 110 tire shredder kit on my dyna street bob it's basically a 20k bike dyno at 106hp/122tq. A stock M8 114 BARLEY puts out 80 hp and honestly as much as I wouldn't mind a new Softail my dyna "handles" 100 mph just fine \m/

I’ve been tossing the idea around of trading my 107 heritage for a 114 fat bob, idk I love my heritage so it hasn’t happened yet

Except the fact it was brand new and leaking when you got it. Lol. You know I like the street Bob though. Let’s race.

I have the same Street Bob as you, and my only regret, is I wish it had a 5 gal tank. I just want to go further and further with it

The Harley softail suspensions compared to those on the Japanese bikes are night and day! Harley suspensions are garbage. The aftermarket is working on some good suspension options that’s when they will be comparison worthy to the Japanese bikes. Why else would people be putting Japanese parts on Harleys
