3Rs Lesson 4: 4th Amendment - Search & Seizure

This popular lesson from years past has students review an actual affidavit to obtain a search warrant and discuss whether it meets the necessary criteria for its issuance. Prepare for lively discussion as students learn the various exceptions to the search warrant requirement and what are the possible remedies if the police act unconstitutionally. For career counseling, volunteers will invite students to ask them questions about their own careers and will have the opportunity to share more about their paths and offer advice. The lesson concludes again with optional Jeopardy review.
