I dunno man. I mean, many Kings, competent or not, were either totally fine sitting on it or got plenty of cuts. Some confirmation bias could be used to make a case for/against any king getting cut

Maybe it wasn't a targaryen who was prophesied to begin with, any who claimed or tried to take the throne found an early demise. Maybe it was cursed by the men who's swords built it. Who knows...

The throne keeps cutting & not made to be comfortable to keep reminding the king that he needs to be conquering & be on the battlefield, not sitting on it

Here's the meaning of being cut by the iron throne ⚔️👑:

The symbolic meaning of a sword is judgement. 🗡️⚖️
It is masculine energy. The function of masculine energy is to lead, to rule. Being cut by the iron throne symbolizes that one does not rule correctly. That one's masculinity is not healthy for one reason or another. The more cuts, the more terrible one's rule. If one has lost all credibility as a ruler, one dies on the throne.

The Iron Throne is made of the swords of the conquered. Which means that Life took the ability to rule from everyone who did not recognise their new benevolent ruler, chosen by fate (Aegon Targaryen). And it symbolises that the rule of all previously sovereign but rogue elements in the realm are united to serve one common purpose: the survival and prosperity of all. ⭐

The energy of the dragon is fierce and unforgiving. 🐉 We all carry it to some extent in us. It is our reptilian brain so to speak. Our most primal and powerful part, but also the part that can do the most damage when corrupted. It is the energy, the fire, ❤️‍🔥 of survival that must rule when death ☠️ comes in the form of white-walkers. ❄️

The passionate fire of the dragon must be tamed by ice, by the cool headedness of the mind. Therefore Jon Snow was the perfect new leader, the Prince that was Promised, born of ice and fire. He had the stark coolness of mind to end the destructive tendencies of fire getting out of control, even to the extent of killing his lover and queen gone mad, Daenerys for the same reason the iron throne would have cut her: abuse of power.

Then why isn't Jon Snow King? The Realm needed someone who was beyond factions. Who was not just himself, even if that's a combination of ice & fire, but who was everyone. Someone who could take into account all possibilities and someone who doesn't have a personal agenda. Someone who doesn't have anything to win or to lose anymore. Someone basically incorruptible. And while Jon Snow has a great Heart, his weakness, like his father-figure Ned, is that he cares a lot, and therefore he can be manipulated. The perfect King cannot be. That's why Bran now sits as the Brain of the world.
