The v1> v2 condition would be applicable for compressible fluids. The earlier portion of the video uses water as the fluid, making v1 = v2 as it is considered incompressible. Not stating this in the video would be confusing to people attempting to learn from this tutorial.

wrong explanation at the end of the video !! Velocity of the fluid doesnt change if the diameter remains the same. Drop in the pressure head does not affect the velocity head. Note that the discharge is the same all along the pipe!!

I don’t understand how velocity will be higher at a point of the pipe that is higher in the system. Just doesn’t intuitively make sense to me.

Thank you for the video! I have one question, why at the entrance of pitot tube velocity decreases to zero? shouldnt it increase to maximum because of low diameter?
