people forget that old folks' bodies can't cope with extreme temperature fluctuations.
Just because your country is hotter or colder doesn't mean every single human on earth can handle it.

For anyone wondering, it's not as hot as other countries but we are a lot more Humid then most other countries so having humidity levels of anywhere from 70-90% while it's 32°c can be quite dangerous if your out in the sun for a while

To those laughing, yes, this is not hot compared to most of the world, but we are not acclimated to this temperature, and the construction of cities and buildings in the UK are designed to hold warmth, as well as having no AC. It is also humid in the UK, making it a more uncomfortable heat. Lastly, the general public are a bit stupid and don’t know how to look after themselves, often lying in the sun all day with no sunscreen and drinking alcohol!

Finally summer arrives in summer, like reporting snow at winter - it should snow in winter.

Wow 29C. How did we ever cope before we had warnings?

Even if you're "accustomed" to humidity, it's still life-suckingly oppressive... humidity makes the body weep.

I was wondering why people were outside if it was hot and humid, and then I remembered AC is not widespread.

Health alert! Health alert! England experiences the one day of 30°C that Barbados experiences every single day of the year! 😢

People cry when it’s raining all the time and when they get sun they also complain
Enjoy the sunny weather even if you stay in doors looking at a blue and sunny sky will make you happier than staring at rainclouds

So that's where our heat went to. The weather here is so chilly here all of a sudden, im freezing. Please come back for your weather and return mine. The streets of Accra are built for sweating not shivering 😅

I was under the impression that BBC no longer did health warnings...considering the massive excessdeath toll we have had year after year with absolutely no reporting on! 🤔

32°C is the daily normal weather in Southeast Asia. This summer had 48°C peak. But felt like it was 55°C. 😂

Yeah because this is the increase in mortality that everyone is talking about except the BBC

Hot weather in England = coldish spring time here in southern Europe. We had 15 days of 40C, 41C and 42C so far this summer. I am tanned from head to toe. GTFO.
