LSU Kim Mulkey LOSS to South Carolina postgame

Mulkey HAS to develop her bench players to the level where she can trust putting them in to rest her big 3. She can't keep running them for 35+ minutes all season. That is gonna make March Madness tough.

"How do you keep 10 McDonald's All Americans on a team"? You develop your players and give them a reason to come to your program and stay in your program. Dawn has shown the blueprint.

LSU is lucky Ashlyn isn’t playing due to injury, because if she were, Aneesah’s production would look very different. Aneesah Morrow is a dog, but Ashlyn is much stronger than Chloe, far more athletic, and just as good a rebounder as Aneesah. On top of that, Ashlyn can block shots and defend at an elite level.

SC has many great players and a super defense. LSU has great players too -- they missed 18 of 29 layoups and had 15 balls rimmout --- SC blocked 10-12 shots because they are a great team. Key to the loss is no three pointers and that will do LSU in at the end. Morrow played great. Best team won -- no doubt. Great game by two great teams. JJ

This game showed we don’t have depth. Our girls were tired. It’s sad we have a 6’5 and 6’6 post players that were 5 star recruits that just not good enough to play. That’s sad. KG was MIA. We need contribution from at least 2-3 players on the bench to give our starters some rest

How about develop your talent… South Carolina goes 10 deep because Dawn develops them and has them ready to play. You have elite recruiting classes and transfer classes; so why can’t you do the same. Del Rosario is a prime example, top 5 high school recruit yet she doesn’t touch the floor. You are out coached, thanks and next.

SC is too deep. No one can match their depth. The team coming off the bench can put up numbers. What Dawn has built at SC is special, all her players buy in b/c she’s a great coach and she coached circles around Mulkey and I love it!!! Will never root for Mulkey…ever!!!
