From what I understand, this is a product to use for a drain that is rarely used. For example, a shower drain that is used would flush the product out so it would not be a good option for those with a shower or drain that is used. It's really for drains not being used, like going away for weeks or months where the drain is not used.

What happens when the drain actual gets used with water. Does this product completely go down the drain and I have to reapply or does this float on top always and allow water to flow through it?
