Thank you, Helena, for maintaining the common sense and being so brave to speak out against these very harmful trends and standing by innocent victims.

Johnny and JK will be fine. Spacey deserves to be cancelled and i have no interest in watching his art.

JK Rowling did absolutely nothing wrong! I agree that actual transphobia is harmful and wrong but JK Rowling was extremely reasonable with all the statements she's been making over the years. She's an innocent victim of cancel couture when there are celebrities who actually promote harmful things that are still adored...

I've always loved HBC for her straight-forwardness and 'let's not beat around the bush' attitude. Just like Bellatrix, I'm sure she'd hate this cancel culture BS!

maybe we should cancel 'cancel culture'

I didn't know about a lot of this stuff (Rowlings) until recently. So, I don't have specific details about all of it. But from what I know, I really can see her (Helena's) point.

Miss Helena Bonham Carter, don’t do this to us. Also, J.K. Rowling didn’t have an ‘opinion’, she went on a rampage undermining trans people.

transphobia is not an opinion, it is actively harmful, even deadly, to millions of people and JK needs to be held accountable for her part in spreading it more across the UK in recent years

I am speechless. I honestly don't know what to say other than "oh no".

"cancel culture" is not the problem here. jk showed herself to be trash and has been taken outside. it's not "oh no, I don't like this person, let's ruin their life" it's "this person has irredeemable views or values and doesn't deserve a stage in my life". like come on

Depp was not cancelled...most people after seeing al the info either thought both of them where wrong or she was wrong....
And studio's did not cancel him. Its called doing buisness. There is a gaint risk taking on a celeb that might have big bads in the closet and trails about them happening....just plain buisness. what if it came out that he was the bad guy? they would have given a abuser a movie role.

As for JK rowling...yes and no. Abuse is not a excuse. Because in that case any lbgtq+ person who abused, might go after JK rowling....and then we get into a echo of a situation. what will only become worse and worse. And while i agree, the most part regarding JK was some ultra left wing trying to cancel her. No need to come after all of us for that. And she also dealt out very bad things. Just research what name she wrote that book ( thriller with transgender villian) under. says enough. And the lack of understanding also comes from JK rowlings side. Not just lgbtq+ side.

JK does not have to agree with us. just respect us. And to all the people who cancel people like JK....it has no use. They either do not deserve it ( like for the most part JK in this case), get away with it or can play the victim in all of it. And it only makes you look like the bad guy/girl/them etc.

They only care when it starts coming for them

Oh yeah, having the pen name “Robert Galbraith”, aka the founder of conversion therapy, not aggressive at all!
As for Johnny, I agree with her there.

JKR hasn't suffered abuse, she was the abuser who then lost her marbles when the abused people didn't like being abused. You reap what you sow.
