I absolutely love how in his dying moments instead of using his last attack to try and kill the one who just defeated him, he instead throws a "Hail-Mary" straight for Aizen as the clock runs out. It makes it obvious that he has always planned to go after Aizen but unfortunately he just didn't have enough *time* (a form of death he ironically represents) to make that happen.

Wow, even in victory Hachi shows Barragan supreme respect. He didn’t want to have to kill him if he didn’t have to. Also, he was only able to kill him using his own power, so in a way he even acknowledged that Barragan was stronger than him.

Hachi has to be the most underrated character in the show, he basically solo'd the 2nd espada.

One of my favourite fights in Bleach. No Bankais, no swordfights, no flashy attacks, just barriers. Hachi was the MVP.

Barragan is a character built on irony.
The one closest to death so convinced he was eternal, the most proud relegated to second place, the one so absolute in his power that he was undone by it.

He wasn’t around long but he was entertaining regardless.

Quite interesting that trying to combat him directly was merely delaying the inevitable, representative of his aspect.

Barragan is the one character i think a lot of hollows would understandably be scared of
with that power of his since he can pretty much kill them with it.

I understand the concept of each Espada representing a factor that contribute to a human death and Kubo's excellent idea of letting "Loneliness" being number 1. However, I think that this should have been Stark's ability. No one would doubt his position then and also explain why previously in Hueco Mundo all hollows around him die (His ability become much stronger to rots everything after becoming an Arrancar)

I recommend everyone to watch Barragan’s last words in dub. It just feels so impactful, you can just feel the pain and anger he has built up over time. I just love it
