If the mother had NOT run for help they might all be dead. She knew he was unstable and didn't want to let him in. He chose violence and I hope he is locked up for decades.

Holy shit, that 7 hours must have felt like years for the mother

that poor little girl. that will leave such an impact on her. How could u do that to your own child??? they are so sensitive, i hope she ends up recovering from this in the future and hopefully doesn't follow her into her adult years.

I swear to God, y'all aren't defending a person who threatened to kill their own child. No matter the context or what happened during the relationship, the child had nothing to do with it. It's his responsibility and fault that he chose that path. It's not the mother's.

Nothing justifies that action. If you even think about killing your own child, who is entirely innocent, you're just a monster.

Context doesn't change the fact that he still chose to pull a gun on someone, including his own daughter.

"She didn't want him to come in." Gee, I wonder why????

I’m all for mental health recognition and everyone deserves to be unconditionally treated well and everyone deserves to be listened to, but if a man is holding a weapon to a 3-year-old, it’s gonna be hard for me to show compassion. What a hero, saving her life. Spending SEVEN HOURS on the phone with a man like that… wow.

Before anyone starts trying to defend that father think about the reason the mother was not letting him in the house. He clearly is not in a stable state of mind. If someone was acting like that I wouldn’t wanna let them near my kid either.

Bro this dude held his own kid hostage for 7 hours and threatened his wife with a gun and some of these fucking comments still find a way to blame the wife

Idk WHY she wouldn’t want him to see her, considering his first instinct is to pull out a gun lmfao

My cousin was a hostage by her stepdad a few years back in LA. Super scary situation. I’m glad she came out unharmed

Holy shit, this was in San Jose California in 2016. And was living around the area when it happened and remember the whole thing. It’s crazy to see something random on your YouTube shorts that relates back you so many years later.

Poor woman and her child. I hope that male who calls himself a husband and father gets locked up in jail where he belongs.
