It turns out the practice of shifting societal schedules in order to utilized more daylight throughout the year started as a way to reduce demand on resources like candles and coal.

I would like permanent Daylight Saving Time. Having an extra hour of sunshine after works ends can really help depression. Driving home in the dark after a long day is depressing.

A wise Indian once said, "Only the government would believe that if you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket.”

So you’re saying I should choose between $13 or a heart attack. Let me get back to you on that one

Nothing but nonsense. Everytime getting rid of it comes up, a different excuse has been announced. In the 1950s, it was due to waiting on farmers to get electricity.

DST can throw off a person's whole sense of time perspective, such as when the sun sets and it's getting dark. The timing of one's whole day can be arrested.

I live on the far side of the Eastern Time Zone. The sun does not set until 10pm in the summer. It really screws with the amount of sleep we get. Daylight savings time needs to end.

We don't lose more sleep. 24 hours it's 24 hours. On the east coast in the summer it gets dark around 9:30. So even if you went to sleep at 9:30 and woke up at 6:00 a.m. that's over 8 hours of sleep.

This video miss an important point for the campaign against the switch of the clock. Is that we want to abolish the “standard time” and keep the “day saving time”. This mean keep the summertime clock all the year around, and have more light in the evening during all the year. Not abolishing the summer time.

Get rid of DST!!! Regardless of how much the clock is 'shifted' there are only 24 hours in the day. Want mor sunshine? Get up earlier!!

Get rid of the change, but keep the time on DST. The extra hour of sun each day is worth it.
