Absolutely VPN can do this in many Scenarios.
Your ISP got bad routing -> ( MY ISP routes to USA via node on the 6th tracert jump with tons of packet loss, a VPN server close to me Circumvents that issue improving my Connection quality heavily )

ISP Throttling certain connection types -> a ISP cant see whats inside of a Encrypted tunnel so either they throttle ALL of these type of connections ( which also could mean Corporate traffic ) or none, most ISP opt then for no throttling of encrypted Connections so a VPN absolutely can help there.

Some Hotels use simple DNS / Connection throttling a VPN can help / circumvent that.

Generally a VPN can circumvent many throttling issues and / or "fix" or circumvent many situations if Rightly used.

Technically a VPN slow you down but modern VPN with Modern hardware being used on the customer end wont slow you down by much maybe 1-5% at most if Wireguard is used, Open VPN can be slower also distance, maybe badly developed Anti virus software using certs for SSL / Encrypted scanning also can heavily slow down speeds of VPN connections wlan also affects speeds heavily, 2, 4ghz having more range but lower top speeds and 5ghz having Higher top speeds but lower range Usually.

Hi, I would request if you guys could provide some information on Virtual servers and its speed.
For eg; I am based out of India and if I use India Virtual Server then how would the vpn perform in terms of speed ? Since the actual server would be based somewhere else..
Thanks in advance. Love your videos 👍🏽

I'm sorry but yes it decreases your speed massively.
I'm in England and my closest server is 40 miles away.
With no VPN using a gaming laptop with WiFi connection to my 5G router my speed is -
734Mbps Download - 614Mbps Upload
Using the VPN my speed is -
30Mbps Download - 25Mbps Upload

Thanks for this very informative video. You have confirmed for me that Surfshark does get around ISP throttling, which happens here particularly at the weekends. Using the fastest location really works! 😄
