*NOTE: There was a speed change to the song for some reason when I uploaded this before. Hope I fixed it! It wasn't sped up for me!*

Coldplay isn't a band, it's an emotion.

I discovered i was an addict to dating sites and sexual validation 3 years ago. It nearly destroyed my marriage. There was a point then where I wanted to give up and I nearly decided to file for divorce, and start new after 13 years of being with my wife. I came clean about it all and went to therapy. I may still be slowly trying to harm reduce when it comes to pornography, but I can say ive been 3 years free of dating sites. The hopelessness eventually went away as I slowly healed and recovered from the bottom I never thought i would have climbed out of. 3 years later, my wife and I now communicate on a level we never did before. She has been in my corner from day one of my recovery journey.

He wrote this song to support his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, when her father died.

I had the chance to go and see Coldplay live at Wembley stadium with my father for the Head Full Of Dreams tour in 2016 the actual date we went was Father’s Day in the uk. it was one of the last things we did just the 2 of us I remember there was a car crash outside the stadium so because of traffic we didn’t get home until 3am. We said we would have to do it again but sadly never got the chance but I think I will try and do it. I would highly recommend you to check out a live version of the song it is a special moment with the crowd interaction and pyro

I went to see Coldplay just to check out what they were about, wasn't the biggest fan in the world, just curious as to why they're so big, and yeah, to hear an arena full of their fans singing this with them... it's an experience.

An insightful and heartfelt reaction that demonstrates your great empathy with people who are struggling with mental illness. I wish there were more people on youtube like you, that address the deeper issues that people face. There is no magic fix to success! All we can do is strive to be the best we can be in whatever path we choose. Thanks for this Amanda. 👍

This is a beautiful song. I totally agree with you that we can fix others but to keep an open mind because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Never give up hope because you will ALWAYS have a place saved for YOU. ❤you Amanda and thank you for sharing.

As a parent of three children, two of which have mental health difficulties, (one who has had psychosis and experiences severe bouts of depression and one who has an eating disorder and self harms) it is so hard to accept you can't always 'fix' things, when all you want to do is take away their pain.

Mental health services too often ignore the role of the parent in the support of the child, as they apply blanket policies of confidentiality and safeguarding which, whilst important to protect the 5% who need this, works to the detriment of the 95% who would otherwise have benefitted from more engaged and informed parents. It has taken me years to retrain myself to think differently, against my natural instincts, to acknowledge the kind of support they need and to not take on the guilt of feeling that this is not enough. This is still a work in progress.

I'm very sorry to have read about what you've been through and just want to say that I really admire the positivity and generosity of spirit you show, and wanted you to hear one more voice telling you that what you are doing is amazing and will be greatly valued by those who need it.

Great reaction as always. I was a heroin addict from age 11-17 in gangs and surrounded by violence. I managed to escape and get clean I’m now 40 and have two kids and while dealing with my past I’ve survived 3 suicide attempts. Anyway, as a a thought seeing as he’s back I’d suggest you give Eminem a listen and his song beautiful. The lyric content of that song hits hard but has a positive story in it. Worth a reaction.

I crave the most? That I want to fix her. Why can’t I fix my wife’s past traumas? Why am I inadequate? Why can’t I fix her?

I like the Fearless Soul cover of this song. Very beautiful.

We played this song at my father’s funeral as we carried his coffin in, as he loved this song. I struggle to listen to it now. Can you please react to Shinedown, A Symptom Of Being Human ( Official Video) as it really fits with your channel, you will love it, thanks.

Lights never guided me home. I fixed others but myself. All my efforts, all my love, in vain. What I got in return was a brain hemorrhage which took away my memories. And now, "my family and freinds" say I'm difficult to deal with because of my memory loss. All I wanted was a freindly human touch. But it's too much effort to put in, they say. So no, lights never guided me home. I apologize for being so negative but that's life. Stuck in reverse.
