Japanese activists protest against G7 leaders' summit in Hiroshima

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered and marched through the streets of Hiroshima on Friday holding up banners and calling "No War" and "No G7" to express their protests against the summit.

Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) countries have kicked off this year’s three-day summit in Japan’s Hiroshima and a host of issues will put the gathering in a critical spotlight.

The G7 has vowed to provide Ukraine with financial support for the year and punish Russia for its ongoing invasion of the country.

It’s nice to see a global push to “ditch the dollar”. Japan has joined BRICS along with many other large economies. The US foreign policy of preaching to the rest of the world whilst their own country is a mess is finally coming to an end. Well done Japan, let’s hope the UK government has the sense to get out of our toxic “special relationship” with the US.

The G7 leaders should be showed the protesters.
To many Japanese the presence of US president in Hiroshima stirs up shame, hatred and deaths of thousands of victims. But Japan is weak and under the US control even after so many years. Japan is the country that US could "contain" its economic development! US thinks China should be similarly too but so far China just stop buying the US Treasury bonds and selling them is causing a impending collapse of the American economy.
