It took a while, but finally my own coat for daily wear, of course with some extra flair!
The coat pattern is McCalls M8156 also called the Astoria coat.

This is great to see, I did some waterproof skirts with cyberpunk reflective graphics, so its good to see that others are too! Thanks for sharing

I’m no seamstress yet but the intricacy, care, and conviction that went into making your vision come to life is inspiring!! I can’t wait to make my own pieces for me🎉

A suggestion for future 'hanging loops' that i developed with a friend a couple of decades ago while working in a very small theater. Buttons. Simply add a couple of small buttons on the back and make a strong twill tape strap with two button holes in it. Button the strap on the back and hang. When not hanging, put a couple of buttons on the interior of the jacket- we tended to put them directly behind the exterior buttons and use that spot to store the strap when not in use, or in a pinch, hang from the strap in that location. But putting the strap buttons back-to-back you can reinforce the area easily. If it was a quick change piece of clothing, the interior hanging point worked great and then switching to the exterior hanging point for long term storage.

The design on the back is awesome! And the katakana is hilarious! I wish you had gotten to wear it to Japan. I think the locals would have gotten a kick out of it.

gives some old school military vibes with a futuristic twist, absolutely in love with it <3

I love the idea of a knee length soft shell jacket and the cut and craftsmanship is immaculate. Wonderful project…
I wonder if you could have a magnetically attachable hood/cowl for the rain. Practical but I’ve no idea how you’d make it look as cool as the rest of the jacket.

God damn it. I found a perfect material for a cyber coat I've been planning for a while and now I've got to include some awesome reflective prints as well. Thanks for making my plans that much harder and more awesome.
But seriously, beautiful work and gave me a lot of inspiration.

Omg this is so gorgeous. As a very impatient person, I really admire how much time and work you put in and it looks so worth it. Really inspiring...

This is very impressive and now I kinda want one! Guess I’ll have to make it myself but with this video as a guide hopefully it won’t take as long 😅

this is really nice, i usually enjoy all the garments you wear throughout the videos too. At 22:00 minutes you are wearing a nice dark green kneat sweater that made me, in the middle of brazilian summer, wish for one. Thanks for sharing.

What amazing tailoring! Coats intimidate me, and sleek sci-fi looking ones doubly so. Those are the hardest to pull off. Well done! 👏

Very cool coat, I also like your technique with the metal ruler for pinning
