very nice beehive.! I wonder if it is possible to make the bottom wooden board a bit wider well under the entrances so that the bees will have a base to land on before they go through the entrance. Just an improvement that may work fo the bees! Thanks Jo

top bar hives have more advantages than described by the lovely lady, for example no need of supers and space to store them, also less desired by the people that might steal hives or just bees.

I like everything about this- except the stand. It is not nearly sturdy enough to accept the load. Every other top bar hive I've looked at has a far stronger stand.

idk who came up with the V shape boxes but they need there butt kicked.... Long boxes works with standard bee equipment and less work, comb don't fall out of the standard frames, plus more comb surface and can make em as long as u wish, u can stack em with standard boxes if u wish, or put em side by side TRY STACKING A V SHAPE BOX he hee cheers
