The 'audacity’ and ‘ineptitude’: Biden questions how Russia can invade Ukraine

Sky News host Chris Kenny says he cannot believe the “audacity” and “sheer ineptitude” after US President Joe Biden wondered how there is a situation in which Russia can invade Ukraine.

Mr Kenny pointed to comments made by Mr Biden in December last year.

“The President said he would not defend Ukraine with force, he promised sanctions, but ruled out military intervention,” Mr Kenny said.

“Instead of leaving all the options on the table, instead of strategic ambiguity, he told Russia he would not confront them.

“Now no one wants combat between Russia and the US, but when you rule out using your military, it kind of destroys its most important quality - deterrence.”
