First time i’ve heard the words “science teacher’s trousers” in a car review. QUALITY 😂😂👍

“The headlamps look like some stylised number twos. I don’t mean the toilet number 2!” - I nearly spat my drink out 😂😂

Enjoying the reviews. Informative yet entertaining 😂😂

The Miller parental family unit was partial to a Renault, my father had a 10 year dalliance with a variety of the French fancies before becoming enchanted by the charms of the Austin Montego. Eventually repeated early onset terminal rust would sour the Montego relationships and by then he had become envious of my BMW so bought a bigger, newer, faster one to put me in my place. I saw one of these at the supermarket and I thought it looked quite smart, though I wonder if it feels like my most recent Renault experience. I borrowed a Renault Talisman, a Renault 25 size car we don’t get here but you can get in Europe and whilst it was nice, it was a top of the range job with leather and gadgets and other assorted niceness it did feel a little ‘thin’ when it came to materials. However that’s not unusual, Fords feel a bit ‘thin’ inside to me too. ‘Thin’ is distinct from ‘hard’ which is how a Citroen or a Toyota feel inside to me. I’m not sure I would have one of these, I quite like the look of it and it seems pleasant inside but I’m not sure I want an electronic car. I don’t have electricity in my garage and they feel like quite a liability for someone who likes to buy their car outright and then keep it for a long time. And whilst all those screens look whizzy and fancy now nothing dates a car like the screens. My friend has an L322 Range Rover, the sat nav screen thing in that was the dog’s danglies when it came out but we can’t stop laughing at how terrible it looks now.

A very comprehensive and thoughtfull review, with lots of points that you made well. Being a similar age to you Mustard i agreed with everything you had to say right down to the science teachers trousers 😂😂
I enjoyed watching this .
Re gen braking and stuck calipers very subtle jibe about things setting on fire, made me laugh.

I used to own a Renault Megane. That also used to stop for no reason.😂

Clever car & nice colour & snazzy interior. My science teacher had trouser’s like the dash material & he drove a Renault 4

The key to The Tower Of London is smaller than that brick required to operate that (e)car! 😂

I'd like to see a Mustard and Boaty go electric episode.

Nice car. I like the styling. There are lots of cars with uninspiring sounding engines. In an ideal world I would like them to build cars with character, that sounded great an offered an exciting drive. That's what I'm really interested in. I guess we just have to enjoy the classic stuff but use these as daily drivers. I could certainly enjoy the comfort and other aspects on most normal journeys. 👍

Can't believe you didn't test that centre console to see how many tubs of curry it would fit.

Yeah one of my main objections to this is that if we're trying to save the planet (I'd love to) I don't think a good way to do that is by producing big cars that have to be recycled because they can't be maintained past their design lifespan.

I know most cars don't last much longer than 10 or 15 years regardless of age or power source but if you're motivated you could make an old car last a long time.

If that's not feasible with this then it seems to fall at the first hurdle

I want sustainable, interesting, involving transport and that's not common on four wheels

I must ask you what your thoughts were on your trip to "The Dark Side" ? For £45.000 ! ! .. I'd want a sauna with a maiden to towel me dry inside that abomination. Never the less, you gave it ( pop into an Australian accent) 'A fair go mate'. I'll never be tempted as I would fall asleep inside that four wheeled double bed.

Could it be that it thought you were going to hit the vans behind you? 8:34

It’s a very good car, it’s comfortable and definitely fast enough. It makes my daily commute totally stress free and I feel safe. It even has a good HiFI. I’ve done a decent road trip of over a hundred miles and it managed it forgot any fuss.

YES it will try to stop if you go over a paper bag! My Ssangyong did it and frightened the life out to me. I checked the manual and turned the sht off! In London, people just step out in front of you all the time and the car will just scrape to a stop. Hella annoying.

Fantastic Review mate 🚗🔋I'm not the biggest fan of electric cars. But they do have a purpose to some people and certain locations 😁But Renault have done a great design and also love the interior. Very unique and desirable and most likely made with eco friendly materials. I did laugh when it decided to do a harsh brake as it thought you was gonna crash into the Ghost of the Yard of DREAMS!! 🤣🤣😉

Great review, like the style. I drive an EV as a company car, therefore depreciation and high insurance costs arent an issue, but would i get one as my own car.. prob not. But they are great and cheap to run if you mostly do local miles and have a home charger.
