I think next time to help you with that just put the casket back on while cleaning the filter that way most of the big stuff won't go down I don't see how much more you could of done other than that. that whirlpool was awesome tho unassisted ones are the best.

I used to love doing this when I worked at the YMCA. The parking lot is sunken down right where the drain is and the water could get over a foot deep if the grate got blocked up.

I thought that drink cup would for sure present a problem, but it looks like the pull of that water flow was more than enough to suck that cup down thru the pipe. amazing amount of suction for sure!
