Portal 2 walkthrough HD - chapter 6: The Fall

Chell and GLaDOS fall down into Aperture Science's old test areas from the 1950s, back when Aperture Laboratories was instead known as Aperture Science Innovators, and get separated from each other. Chell is guided by pre-recorded messages by Cave Johnson (the former CEO of Aperture Science) and occasionally, his assistant, Caroline. Chell activates the flow of the Repulsion Gel, and begins testing in the first Enrichment Sphere, where the Repulsion Gel, the first design of boxes, buttons and switches is shown.

I’ve always loved the fact GLaDOS has a processor just for clapping

The reason this place is so collasal is because after Cave Johnson's success he purchased 9 vertical salt mines in Michigan. Using his MULT-BILLION fortune he redone the place and made it into aperture science inovations. In its golden age it looked so good but after sightings of famous astronauts going missing. ( To cover their tracks) they COMPLETELY sealed off most of the "old aperture".this is way it's SO broken down there .it's in RUINS.

I like how aperture literally decided to make almost all the walls out of moon rock only to have Convenient people using portals in there offices.

the sense of scale in old aperture is mind blowing, it gave me a very wierd uneasy feeling

This game basically has zero flaws, it’s an outright masterpiece! And this part is awesome because you learn a lot more about the history/background of Aperture

Why is this place _so_ far underground? It always creeped me out.

This is my favorite area in portal 2. The vintage look of the test chambers is really cool. Nixie tube numbers and indicator lights.Also the wasteland part. It's cool walking into that one room after flipping the circuit breaker and having Cave Johnson greet you when you walk in, even though its just a recording.

Chell is truly unintimidated by the sheer amount of “DO NOT ENTER” and “KEEP OUT” signs lol

Portal 2 has such an incredible tone and atmosphere, and the music that plays is always very fitting depending on where Chell is, and what situation she’s in. Vitrification is no exception, it totally fits the deepest, darkest, lifeless, decayed, and unsettling depths of the Enrichment Center!

At the end, where you are supposed to rescue Glados, I managed to skip that entire part and fly straight to the elevator, and when I reached the next level, they just showed up.

Honestly the best part of Portal 2. But also where the puzzle difficulty spikes a bit. nonetheless i loved going through old aperture seeing the not so humble beginnings
