Don't Starve Together | Why YOU Should Farm Marotters! | Guide

In this video, we'll go over all the information you need to relocate and farm Marotters to your heart's content. Those little pesky thieves are source to some great loot. From endless supplies of Meat, to easily available Bull kelp stalk and an on land source of message in a bottle, there's loot for all types of players. They can come off as rude and annoying mobs at first, but understanding their behavior is key to manipulate them the way you want.

I originally thought about that farm when I discovered they were able to drop messages in a bottle. After making the farm though, I realize it's bigger potential was in the rest of the loot that the Marotters have to give. In my current world, I moved 10 of their den through a total of 6 days in winter using 7 Bootleg getaways. Something that I didn't mention in the video is that, if you have two dens close by together that you want to relocate, you can bump one of them into the Bootleg wormhole before you jump yourselves into with your den. That trick can help you save up on a lot of time and traveling!

I've been thinking of doing a farm like this but then to also plant a few twiggy trees so they passively collect twigs for me. I also saw a comment about using Marotters for a Grass Gekko farm and now I want to make them do all the jobs!

Tried this and I think this might be better than fighting CK for the bottles every 20 days. I think I am going to build second one - 2 free bottles every 6 days is very good, thanks!

you could also use marotters to harvest kelp for you, they're like sea lureplants.

very nice video!! i've been farming marotters as much as possible for the 5% bottle drop, but i've been using the elding spear dash for it, so i didn't know how feasible it was as other characters. i wouldn't have thought about using brightshades!

for pre lunar rift you can use an anenemy setup. it probably cannot kill all of them in the one day but then the respawns will eventually desync so it can kill the maximum amount it can manage each day, dealing with all 20 in 6 days

I was kinda sceptical at first, because the loot didn't look that special (a bit of meat and some random other stuff only every 6 days or so?) but the design is really elegant! Looks simple enough to set up, easy to keep up and harvest, so sure, I might give it a try :D
Haven't played on the last update yet, just how common are the Matotters? Is a setup of 10 dens like seen in the video easily obtainable or do you have to scout the entire map for that?
