I used to think this was about a creature that killed people. It's actually about a guy named Tyrone who hung out in the Phoenix gay community during the 1980s. The song isn't actually about Tyrone, it's about Tyrone's penis. They called it The Beast and Nightcrawler. Don't believe me, listen to how Halford says "He's gonna get you" toward the end of the song. Also "Souls are sent to heaven as he feasts on flesh and blood" is about Tyrone giving you a BJ". Why aren't they sent to hell? now you know.
