Hey, So i found this a few days ago and it looks like the video has been around for a few years. thank you for posting this.
The first half of the video did not work for me and if your on windows 10 like me, i would recommend skipping looking in the settings menu and go straight to the registry change. i did that, rebooted my machine and netplwiz worked like it was supposed to.
Stay strong

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 21H2, and this option isn't available in my account settings. I'm still looking for a way to see that dang checkbox in netplwiz...

How do you get to this setting in Windows 10? I have 21H2 OS version and that option is not showing up in my window.

Hmmm....I don't see how this applies to Windows 10 Professional. The option mentioned in Sign-In options does not exists there.

One issue - if you have both a Microsoft account and a local account, and want to have the local account log in automatically (for example, I have a HTPC running Kodi and want it to restart itself automatically), you find this option on the Microsoft account, change it, then go back to the local account and then the netplwiz command has the check box.

tested this on my end for windows 10, just re-installed it yesterday with the newest windows 10 ISO, followed his steps, not exact since there is multiple ways to get to the "sign-in options" page such as typing that into the search bar, but same spot. may have to scroll up as for some reason it may be at the bottom of the page. but yes turning OFF the setting he shows, it looks a little different from his end, but it's there RIGHT under "Required Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts" then it says the same thing he shows, once you turn this off THEN load the netplwiz will have the check box showing to UNCHECK then input the password. if you had the window up for netplwiz before turning it off, you will have close it then re-open it and it should be showing.

I just built a windows 10 pro desktop (and loving it) and I am still looking for a way to get the passwordless option working. Thank you for this video! I appreciate Microsoft's "security first", especially for laptops on the go. I just wish Microsoft would stop hiding things from me and making it more complicated to do things I already know how to do. I applied a registry entry to try to get that check box back (I reboot every time). Still not there. I disabled hello sign in with pin (still not there). I am on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (fully connected to my Microsoft account). It is just strange that Microsoft is making passwordless boot up so complicated.
