Quake Lore vs DOOM Lore

DOOM is about a chad that disrespects authority and ends up failing to save humanity from a demonic invasion, then becomes increasingly unstable to the point of psychosis due to the death of his pet rabbit.

Quake is about a blue collar sigma male who gets called into work in the early hours of the morning to confront interdimensional entities. He kicks their asses, goes home, and goes back to fucking bed.

Actaul quake lore is kinda depressing. Like after quake one the dude just looses all purpose. Endlessly wandering dimensions seeing horrors and just never being able to go back home. No big boss to kill. No goal besides just trying to leave...

The architecture goes from medieval gothic to industrial scifi, along with "otherworldly" monsters, along with having to fight Shub-Niggurath
