Book: The Lotus Casino had everything a kid could ever dream of. Arcades, junk foods, sports area. Its so fun that they lost track of the time
Movie: Let's make our supposedly young heroes who are just teenagers and not kids take flower drugs and have party raids

I gotta admit, I love the concept of the cassino really having lotus flowers that makes you high, since in the books the hotel is just magic enough to make the people stay there forever.

so with the lotus eaters you get to be at a never ending party, the Flowers give you never ending energy since we never see them sleep, hanging with beautiful women. eat delicous flower like treats. get subject to all kinds of activities that normally cost hundreds of dollars. and you have eternal youth. besides the fact that they were on a mission what would really be the downside of staying at this place.

Altho this movie version is a lot different than the book I still love it, I really wish I had a life like Percy Jackson, getting to travel new places with my 2 closest friends, fightin monsters, stayin at a hotel, and just havin the type of freedom they had after they snuck out of Camp Half-Blood
