Why we are choosing to have a big family

Now that I have given birth to my 5th child, the biggest question I am asked is, “So, are you done having kids now?” “How do you know when you’re done having kids?”

In this video I am answering our reasoning for having a big family in this day and age and why we don’t use conventional forms of birth control and instead use Natural Family Planning (NFP) ❤️

Loving parents? Please have as many kids as you wish. This world needs kids who are loved and end up as functional loving adults❤

Girl. I always wanted to be a wife and mother. I mostly kept this to myself as I've had family, friends, and even a therapist disapprove.
I didn't start trying until my husband and I married. I feel personally that stability is important for children. After 7 years of marriage and thousands spent on infertility treatments, we gave up. Started looking into adoption options.
We just found out last week I'm pregnant. That's how I found your videos. I'm so nervous and excited. Watching your videos is hugely helpful. I don't know if it's crazy hormones, but I become a crying mess watching y'all. But not sad! I'm so glad you have this channel. Thank you! ❤

I’m 1 of 6 and big families are beautiful. My husband and I always wanted a big family, but struggled with infertility for nearly a decade. Despite doctors advising us to do IVF, we decided to place our hopes and dreams in God’s hands. With a full heart I can say we finally have a baby boy and hope that one day God will bless us again with another child. His timing is always right that I know. Congrats on one big and beautiful family!

It’s true!

As a mom of five and hopefully more, my biggest advice to moms of any number is…ditch your phone as much as you can. I pretty much have stopped using mine unless my kids are asleep (magically they all went down with minimal chaos tonight 😂)

You’ll never look back and wish you’d used it more. While it’s great to get messages out and connect with people, don’t ever let it take priority over the people in your home. And it’s too easy for that to happen without us realizing it. It’s been about a year of digital minimalism relationship with my husband and kids is so much better with no more screens during the day! Keep on keeping on, mamas!

Beautiful! ❤ I'm pregnant with baby #5, and I get a lot of side eyes and judgment. I'm not asking anyone to support or raise my kids. They are EACH a unique and precious gift - not just to us, but the world. I applaud you! 🎉

This made me cry! Thank you for having the courage to share this in a culture that depicts children as burdens. My husband and I are Catholic and after using natural family planning for the first year of our marriage, I'm now 5 months pregnant with our first baby. Your videos have not only been so practical and helpful as I'm learning to navigate motherhood, but also so uplifting since you cherish your kids as the God-given gifts that they are. I am genuinely so so thankful for the content you produce, and please know that you and your family are in my prayers!

I really don’t understand why people having large families bothers people. And the irony in this is that the same people who are bothered by families also are the ones constantly saying “don’t judge!”

Also, thank you for your videos. I’m a new mother, and I am struggling. Thank you for being my big sister in motherhood. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos!

I grew up with 5 siblings. We were poor and struggled daily, we were all a year apart with my brother and sister being the same age for 2 weeks. That close lol! We had a blast growing up, and we all always had a friend and nobody messed with us since we had a gang lol! And now as an adult I am blessed with so many nieces and nephews and we all are close and have huge family gatherings! It's such a blessing and I wouldn't want it any other way!

I was raised in a big Catholic family and while my life is taking a different path I vividly remember strangers bombarding my mother (sometimes my dad, but usually my mom 🙄 ugh misogyny) with questions like these. Depending on her mood she’d find a witty and polite way to say “eff off” or just ignore them. But she (and my dad) ALWAYS made sure that us kids knew that we were wanted, we were loved, they considered us a gift from God and inspired us to see and value each of our siblings as sacred gifts. My life choices have been very different from my parents but to this day my siblings are the absolute BEST part of my life. We’ve had our ups and downs, we’re not perfect of course. But I’ve learned so much about life through my siblings. Thank you for your page Chrissy. It’s so nostalgic for me to see you raise your family similarly to how I was raised. You and your family are a gift to this world. I’ll pray a quick Hail Mary that you have a lovely day, you deserve it

Catholic momma here! I come from a family of 9 kids and hope to have a big family myself. Mother Teresa once said, “ how can the world have too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.” This beautiful quote has so much truth to it but after having my first born son, and expecting my second in three weeks, I’ve come to understand how much of an understatement this beautiful quote is. Children are difficult, sure. But, children are pure blessings from the Lord. Can’t wait to continue growing my family!

Clicked on this video so fast! I had long suspected you are on the same “plan” my husband and I are— no plan! (That is to say, we believe God opens and closes the womb). We know when people ask about how many, we make them uncomfortable with our answer, as if we’re judging them for not being good enough Christians. But in reality, I feel pretty isolated in this conviction, so seeing an influencer I love share the same thing— it’s such a blessing to me!

I'm getting married in May and my fiancé and I are excited to hopefully start a large family. He's one of 12 and his family is wonderful and encourages me so much that you can have a lot of kids and love them all! We need more people in our society who love babies and children. Thanks for making this video!

Appreciate you sharing Chrissy! For those of us with fertility issues, God's journey for us is different. After our first son was born we longed for a second pregnancy. Six years of waiting, trying, praying, and crying, I'm proud to be a mom of two amazing boys six years apart! Two complicated pregnancies, both of which ended in emergency c-sections, and I'm done but ever so, so thankful.

I started watching you when I was pregnant with my first child. Today, two miscarriages later, I stay subscribed because I love that you’re bold and talk about your faith. Thank you for that!

This makes me appreciate you more. We, too, are believers and were surprised by our little one. God gives us so much grace and blessing with our babies and I’m so grateful.

Not Catholic, but due with baby #10 any day now! We went from infertility and miscarriages to a house full, and we are so thankful for each season God has given. Many opportunities for growth! I find I get less nasty comments now when we all go out though, than with 5... So sad people have to be such a discouragement to bigger families. Thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us!!

It was very generous for you to share such personal information. Even though you choose to share some of your life on YouTube, it’s nobody’s business what family planning choices you & your husband make. I have a friend that chose to have a large family & had seven children, all C-sections. She homeschooled them all & now all but 2 are wonderful adults who are happily married! We share very similar values from what I can tell & you give fantastic parenting advice & tips. Keep doing your thing. You’re a beautiful person 💖 From a 65 year old Catholic retired Lactation Consultant subscriber.
