New Plan To Clear Out Venice Homeless Encampments Involves Finding Permanent Housing

Outreach workers said there are about 120 tents in Venice Beach along Oceanfront Walk, and now there are plans to offer unhoused people a pathway to permanent housing. Jeff Nguyen reports.

I've seen that lifestyle and no Housing won't help. Housing implies they have to work and obey rules etc

they cleared them out, why are they letting come back, no camping means no camping, break the law go to jail and follow those rules. Pretty stupid to clean it all up and just let them all come back. They want the beach life, there are plenty of beaches outside of town

Just give them massive parking lots and plant some trees and let them grow their own food. That's what they want to do. Stop trying to shove people with mental problems and substance abuse issues into nine-to-five boxes where they earn their own keep and wake up every morning and go to work. Some people are just never going to be capable of that
