This Panini sandwich bread is perfect for anyone looking to create soft, fluffy, and flavorful bread with a crisp, golden crust. It’s a beginner-friendly recipe with a simple pre-yeast mixture to ensure a quick rise and easy folding techniques for the perfect dough texture.

Ingredients:
Pre-yeast
100g warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
10g active dry yeast
100g all-purpose flour

Mix well, cover, and set aside for 20 minutes.

Bread dough:
500g all-purpose flour
10g salt (1 1/2 tsp)
300g water
50g olive oil
The yeast we prepared

Mix all the ingredients set aside and let it rest for 15 minutes, then fold it (use damp hands, lift the dough straight up from the middle, tuck the two ends underneath) and cover with plastic wrap.
After 30 minutes, fold it again.
Cover and let the dough rise for 40 minutes. (or it doubles in size)
Roll out the dough on a floured surface about 2 cm thickness. Cut it to the size you want, put it on the tray, cover it with plastic wrap, and set aside to rise for 40 minutes.
Bake in preheated oven to 230°C with plenty of steam for 10-15 minutes.

*Note:
To create plenty of steam in your oven while baking the Panini bread, follow these steps:
1. Put an empty, shallow, oven-safe pan or tray on the bottom rack of your oven while it's preheating to 230°C.
2. Right before putting your bread in the oven, boil some water (about 1-2 cups, depending on the size of the pan).
3. Once your oven is preheated, carefully pour the boiling water into the preheated shallow pan. This will create steam.
4. After pouring the water and placing the bread inside, close the oven door quickly to trap the steam inside.
The steam helps the bread develop a crispy crust while keeping the inside soft and airy.
