I’m in tears right now. We are the same age and I grew up with you since your very first video upload. I was also just diagnosed with RA and I will never be able to put into words how much this video was needed. Elle thank you so much for uploading this.

Happy to see an update from you. Please ask Blair to do one, too, would really like to know how she is doing. I get it must be nerve-wracking to film when you haven't in a while but fans don't care, we're just happy to see you both on our feed. :)

I remember discovering youtube and beauty gurus when I was 18 with a broken leg missing my first semester of college. To this day YouTubers like you and Alison Anderson who started in beauty and evolved with your lives are still some of my absolute favorites. I honestly think you could talk about anything and I would watch as soon as I see the video go live, because it genuinely just feels like being around an old friend. Thank you for being exactly who you are unabashedly!

I’m 29 and I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia since I was 22.. it’s nice to see a young person with a following talk about this and bring awareness to it..

Elle! I saw you followed me on IG a few months ago and I was hoping it was you starting to experiment with your curls 🥰 That’s so great you found a conditioner that works for you. Unfortunately when transitioning back to your natural curls, it can take many months even years. It took me 3 years to gradually grow out my bleach damage and once I did, my curls changed so much. When you go back and forth between curly and straight in the beginning, it’s tough to see your curls full potential. Sending the good curly vibes your way and excited to see you back! ❤

Elle!! I’ve been a silent follower for 15 years apparently but I just have to tell you how good it is to see you again! I never really watch YouTube anymore but I’ve been signing in occasionally just to see if you’ve posted. Glad you’re feeling better and can’t wait for future videos!

It’s so nice to have you post this video! I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 28 and have been on medication for 3 years. I’ve had to come off my past medication (methotrexate) which worked really well for me to prepare for IVF so I’m back on the nightmare medication journey trying to find something that works. RA can feel isolating sometimes and tricky feeling like you can’t ‘keep up’ with some others so it’s so nice to hear you’ve been doing so well! ❤

I was diagnosed with advanced Psoriatic Arthritis at 19. I still bounce around on medications to try and find the perfect one to help my joints and skin. Don’t be discouraged when you have a flare or if a medication doesn’t work. It is a very tedious thing but super important to take care of yourself! I hope you have an amazing doctor that listens to you and wants to help in any way.

This past September I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD). That means we have symptoms and lab test results which suggest a systemic autoimmune disorder or connective tissue disease like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, or Sjogren’s syndrome but not extensive or specific enough to meet usual criteria for a diagnosis. In my case I lean more towards rheumatoid arthritis with a little lupus and I’m only 33 so I get feeling old when you hear that. But I am so thankful that you use your platform to talk about your own autoimmune issues so that those of us who are dealing with the same thing know we aren’t alone and we can share experiences and get through this together ❤

I’m so happy you’re doing so much better! I was diagnosed with arthritis at 15 so it truly can happen at any age!

My sister has RA and swears by bone broth for flare ups! She did the GAPS protocol (maybe even a bit more strict, because she was also figuring out alergies) and hasn't had to go on medication. Just some information to store in the back of your head if you're ever desperate and medication stops helping ❤

My RA started flaring up when I was 4 and I wasn’t officially diagnosed and medicated until I was 18. So happy you were able to get diagnosed and start testing medicines relatively quickly! Thank you for being open about this - I definitely get ‘feeling old’ when you tell people what you have. The stigma is real - exactly why I wasn’t diagnosed for 14 years every doctor would say you’re too young for that it must be something else.
