There's a special place in hell for whoever fired that man after that tragedy. I would rather go out of business than treat another human being that way.

When my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer, my boss moved mountains so I could work from home and care for her. That's the boss you need ❣️

When a boss behaves badly with one employee, they lose the trust and loyalty of all employees.

The man who lost his daughter just has this sad yet very bright glow about him. He knows that his daughter will always be with him in spirit ❤

My job fired me while I was recovering from brain surgery, then denied my unemployment. Called themselves "family oriented", I sued them and won.

That’s a real father. Saving up to buy burial plots so they are with their daughter even in death.

We had an employee whose daughter died 2 weeks after birth. He was gone for 2 weeks. we paid him 40 hrs each week and never touched his vacation or sick pay. We also closed early, and all went to the funeral to show support.

I lost my Dad in April after a battle with extremely aggressive carcinoma. Not only did the company give me time off with pay, they also provided meals for my family almost every single day so that we didn't have to cook while we mourned. Sent flowers and bouquets to the funeral and offered grief counseling as well. It was a blessing to have that kind of support. I had already thought they were an amazing company to work for before all of that, but they showed more compassion than I could have imagined.

I had a boss that fired me by voicemail during my Grandmother's funeral. I believe there's a special place in hell for people like that

i quit a job because they told me i couldn’t take the day off to go to my grandmothers funeral because i didn’t give three weeks notice that my grandma would be dying. the very next day that manager was fired after i told corporate what she’d said and i got my job back with a raise.

I had a coworker lose their daughter like that, instead of getting let go, the company offered maternity and bereavement leave combined. That’s how you show compassion and do what’s right.

this guy on the right that hated to ask how he lost his daughter… you could see the emotion stirring up inside of him, like a lump in his throat was forming. Bless.

Firing an employee for needing to leave due to family emergencies should be illegal. It’s so wrong. Poor guy. I hope he now has a better job where he is treated properly.

Some employers are pure scum. These are the ones that really need to be boycotted.

When my Wife passed away in 2019 I wanted to go back to work after 3 days because I have a family to support but my boss refused and paid me 40 hours a week plus he paid all my bills and raised money to help me pay for funeral expenses. And if that weren't enough he gave me $1, 000 out of his own pocket for anything extra I needed for my kids and myself. I've been blessed to have some pretty incredible bosses.

Sorry to hear about this. It breaks my heart. How can someone treat another person like this especially at a time like this.

I knew a coworker whose 1 year old daughter fell down the stairs while she was at work. Our supervisor wouldn't even let her leave to meet her mother at the hospital, and the baby was unconscious. He told her if she leave not to come back. I told her to heck with this job, and your baby is unconscious leave now. I told him Karma was coming for him. A year later, his son fell at school and broke his arm. He flew out the door. The mentality of upper management.

It's disgusting when an employer has no humanity.

They say it's not personal it's just business. It's a sick way to treat people.
