This is probably one of the most well written shows to be on tv in the last 50 years

This show re-sparked my love of revolutionary history. Though it has it’s inaccuracies, I think it was a very underrated drama show. This last scene always messes me up, exactly the way a well done show should.

It's a little tidy in the way it wraps things up but I was caught off guard by the fact that he was addressing his dead son. It's all the more moving when you see Thomas as a boy playing on the farm with his dad.

“Even though someone is gone your love for them lives on” Never were there more true words.

Major Hewlitt was my favourite character, it was nice to see him with his telescope. All of these people had tumultuous hardships to overcome. This story had a bittersweet ending. It gave my heart the hope it needed to carry on, no matter what.

I've probably re-watched this entire series about a dozen times but this ending still shatters me every time! 😭😭😭

A sad ending for Robert Rogers, but I guess he lived a long life for the times and died drunk 😀

Many others would love to have had his exit!

Lmao that’s the courtroom in colonial Williamsburg. They filmed London, Philadelphia, New York all in colonial Williamsburg.

When he talked about Washington wanting to return to his farm it comes from a time where holding office would hold you back monetarily and the only reason you would seek such an office would be to sacrifice a lot in your own life and is what it means to serve and not to self serve.
