This is why sound designs matter bro, toei still uses the dragon ball type sfx from the start till now and it's makes the scenes less impactful and less crispy

only flaw of one piece is they want the anime to be goofy asf especially now since gear 5 is gonna be used alot, i hope they change the sound effects soon

This sort of reminds me of how i wish guns and other weapon types got this treatment in one piece and not just the swords and fists.

However, for stuff like guns id want them to also show how dangerous they can be and that you arent cool for using a gun without proper discipline and a clear mind not dictated by desire or emotion but just as a form of self defense or an extension of the person in combat


Van in one piece does do that albeit hes a villain, he still carries hismelf with diacipline which is why people arent up his rear with issues because hes pretty calculating with his weapon and respects the danger it poses

GARPS TRUE POWER
To understand this.we need to think of how oda does things. First consider shanks and Rayleigh how powerful they were when they got a 2 minute fight scene. Secondly garp has never once fought for real even the fight on skull island he fought against his student and family. So he has never fought at full strength. Anather thing to note is that garp is the only living legend on the level of Roger and whitebeard. During the marine ford war we saw how amazing whitebeard who was old and sick was. Still the marines put a traitor and seriously injured him weakening him even further before they fought him. But even then all of the admirals where smacked quite a few times before they could take him out. You need to note that he was focusing on saving ace than killing the admirals. Now oda has repeatedly said that haki is the strongest power in the World of one piece. And the fact that after the death of Roger. garp is the strongest haki user left alive. do you still thing that Oda isn't saving him for a big event. I personally believe that garp currently posses a strength beyond the 5 elders, in fact he may even be able to but up a fight against imu.

It would've been so better if they did this in the actual clip like you, just having the music fade away as Garp starts charging his Galaxy Impact, then just the silence of space, then finally making the explosion sound like it's up in space to eventually coming back down, breaking the sound barrier multiple times.

Hey, this sound design is actually good! Most of the sound redesigns being uploaded just don't work unless you have huge subwoofers and very well calibrated system. This even works with a high pass at 200 Hz, I tried it. Good job!

I swear, no offense to Toei, but they really need to invest in a sound design team. One Piece would hit *_REALLY_* hard with updated sound effects.
