There was an older series made based on the book simply called "Anne of Green Gables" plus there was a follow up series addressing Anne as an adult. These series were done in the 1980s, and were very good. So if you liked "Anne with an E" check out the older series.

We visited New Zealand on our legal marriage honeymoon. I would highly recommend it for all the natural beauty and wonderful people. There is a lot to see in the USA, but I agree the shooting statistics are scary. I don't see that changing anytime soon, but we still travel here.

My sister was worried about going to Europe because of the terror attacks! People don’t really worry about getting shot here except in some areas where people don’t really want to go to anyway. This is a big place. New Zealand. Now that is a place without comparison. I would put that high on your list.

For vacation, sometimes Partner and I just get on the road. We stop at every cheesy, kooky, or weird roadside attraction. The only rule is that the place iis something neither of us heard of. We stay at really cheap run-down motels. Don't knock it. This system yields the most fun and best memories.

Should you return to the U.S. I'd recommend New England and the adjacent Canadian provinces. To me the state and national parks in the region are the most beautiful in North America. Both on the seacoast and inland they are, perhaps, not as spectacular, as some national parks, but are truly beautiful and wonderful places to visit.

I know I love to take lots of photos too on a vacation 📸 And I live in the US myself (Minneapolis, Minnesota), I totally get your hesitation on coming back, it’s sad with all the crime/shootings going on here, even I don’t understand why it’s on the rise, the government definitely needs to work on fixing that issue. But it seems like they care more about weapons than people 😔 And you should totally watch Heartstopper, it’s such an uplifting and positive story for the LGBTQIA. Why do people shoot each other is a great question and as someone born and raised in the United States I find myself asking that question on a daily basis. Your hesitancy to want to visit the USA again is understandable! Sad to say, but if I were 20-30 years younger I would consider moving out of the country! There are however many incredibly beautiful places to explore here and the Grand Canyon is one of them! I have been there a few times, but have never taken the burro ride to the bottom of the Canyon or gone river rafting, but think it would be fun! There are also many beautiful places to visit on the East Coast! The Q&A Vlogs have been fun! I hope you are enjoying your vacation! Take care! Much love and big hugs!
