Montrose - Rock Candy

Lord! Oh, yeah.
When you need a friend through thick and thin
Don't look to those above you.
When you're down and out, ain't no doubt
Nobody wants you.

But you're rock candy baby
Hard, sweet and sticky.
Rock candy baby
Hard, sweet and sticky.

When you're seventeen reachin' for your dreams
Don't let no one reach it for you.
Pull up your pants,
Stretch out take a chance.
If it can be done, you can do it.

A teenager smoking weed, drinking a few beers and listening to Sammy and Montrose are memories I never want to forget. Awesome band .

12 inch vinyl from the 70’s with pure rock and roll. I’m 66 now and still the rocker I was in 1973. Crank it up!!!

I’m 29 and I’m eternally grateful I have a father with a good taste for music because I don’t know if I would’ve picked up the guitar or discovered Montrose. I also love classic rock because of him.

Back in the day this was the tune we all jammed to in my friends garage. Me on drums, my buddy on bass and another good friend on guitar. And we all sang with mics through an extra Marshall amp because we couldn’t afford a PA system.
It was the best times in that garage, we played like it was Madison Square Garden. Oh the memories.

I remember when I bought this I was driving my 73 Challenger Gas was cheap, sex didn't kill you, when you went food shopping they bagged it, Big bell bottoms on the lady's with Farrah hair was all the rage, if the cops found you and your buds hanging out drinking beer they just made you pour it out, Kids went out on dates. Sometimes I really hate how time fly's.

If you ask the older generation of guitarist what album and guitarist most influenced them they will kindly point to this album and Ronnie Montrose. This is absolutely one of the best albums ever!!! Never get tired of it and I have listened to it for 50 years
