My biggest gripe is that there's no way to even get health.

I'm not even asking for a chest of health, i just wish hades blades ACTUALLY gave health like they do in the rest of the game.

And for everyone saying that they beat it on hard in one or two Yeah you're lying lol. I don't care if your the President of Santa Monica Studios no one is that good. This is probably the hardest level that I've played in any GOW and I platinumed all 6 of them.

This section is definitely frustratingly difficult. damn.

I am a hardened GOW vet who has beaten every game on hard difficulty...except this one. I had to give up and start a new game on normal difficulty to get past this section, and even then I died at least 15 times before I finished it. This is insanely difficult, even on normal. I simply cannot beat it on hard; it is outside of my skill level as a gamer.

it's fuckin bullshit there's no checkpoint in between battles they only give u a lil bit of health this game really grinds my gears!!!

I failed maybe 20 times, then did this:
use electric blades only, spam your L2 attacks, use magic WHENEVER you have it, dodge roll as your primary movement. if the snakes use freeze vision, dodge then attack with double jump+hold triangle+hold square at the end. kill enemies as soon as they're red. FORGET the rage meter. for wave 3&4 do the same, but more of that long jump attack. for harpies, spam the R1 grab.
had half my health plus 2 magics upon completion (normal difficulty)

I finally beat it on hard mode!
I almost raged to the point of tears in the end. Took me a good 8 or so hours to do it though.

I almost beated the first level, with more than a half of my life, when suddenly 2 new witches spawned..

Two Monsters I hate the most were the Lightning witches and the statues and such :)

This part took me about 1.5 hours in titan mode with full health and 4X magic :|
Advice: Do not play this chapter in titan mode after a rough day

Another real kick in the nuts about this game is just how many times the following happens to me: I duck and move and slash, building up my Rage of the Gods meter to the max. Just as I'm about to unleash the special attack, a Gorgon traps me in her coils. I button mash and escape...only to find the struggle and fight animation lasts just long enough to entire deplete my rage meter.

The trial of Archimedes is on the same level of difficulty as the last "arena fight" during the battle with Ares (GoW I)

Thank God I already Platinumed this lol I couldn't stand this part. It was just simply not fair at times lol. Just when you think its almost done theres more on the way.

The most challenging part for me in a GOW game was fighting the Crystal Scorpion on GOW3 on Chaos difficulty. That thing kicked my ass at least 30 times before I killed it.

yep. Beaten the others on the hardest difficulty, this trial was hardest. Two witches and two gorgans (?), so im getting the lightning from above, lightning shot at me, their stone rays blasted at me, theyre sweeping their tails across the map at me. If I block I take damage, if I roll I take damage, If I try to do anything im getting fucked. I dont care what anyone says, this part is fucked

I love challenges. I have beaten Dark Souls through NG+7 and I'm also a OneBro. I have no problems with games being hard. But I have a HUGE problem with games being CHEAP. There's a huge difference between the 2. I honestly feel like this part is cheap. It's just enemies all over the screen and with no real patterns it's just random nonsense. There's no real way to plan for this. You might get a more manageable sequence and you might not. That's what makes it so frustrating and not fun.

On easy or normal this fight is simple it’s on hard & Titan where you have to play more defensively. I’ll admit it was brutal beating it on hard but in general I hate playing defensively in games and it’s probably why it gave me a hard time. One great tip is if you can parry Gorgons you can often get them to stone the witches or possibly another Gorgon. Also use your clone & the freeze time amulet often during fights. The clone is incredibly OP. If any enemies get tossed out of the fight space they are eliminated from the battle.

I love the liars who claim they beat this the first or second time they tried it on hard. I call bs!
