GOW on PS2 is pure nostalgia for me, but newer 2018 was a good experience. With soo spread out games its either nostalgia and memories or new and flashy games, so tough.

Maybe recency bias, but Rägnarok is perfect, 10/10 and one of the most iconic games ever, the dialogue, the music, the gameplay, the story, everything about it is made to perfection, Kratos, the mortal who killed an entire mythology, now seeking peace as he tries to make up for his ways, and teaching his son to be a good man and not like the rest of the God's

God of war: Ascension was Goated and super underrated. The campaign was solid and was the first and only game to have a competitive online multi-player. Wish they would have have kept the online going in later games.

I didnt rlly got to play the older ones but gow 4 is prolly my favourite, ragnarok is also a masterpiece but i feel like it is a bit slower paced

Not a fan of the new games mostly the gameplay is a big miss with me plus the cheesy marvel type dialogues just ruined it for me but i do like the setting being in norse mythology. Would love a proper sequel with the same gameplay from GOW3.

If you want to include HD/Collection Sets, there's also collection sets that got released on the PS3, and an HD version of God of War III on the PS4. And if we really want to get crazy, we could also include the games that Kratos was in, like PlayStation All-Stars, and I believe a golf game of all things.
