Bootstrap created by Twitter is a free open source CSS framework for building responsive websites and web applications. It’s used by Twitter, Dropbox, Apple Music, Airbnb, Coursera.

Material Design was created by Google. It provides an exhaustive framework for creating websites and applications with high interactive and mobile-first UI with responsive designs. It’s used by Nasa, Amazon, Unity, JPMorgan.

Material is amazing but it’s far more difficult to use. You need to be proficient with JavaScript and react to get the most out of it. With Bootstrap, you really don’t have to understand much of anything. It’s plug and play.
As for me, I prefer Material UI.

Materialize, although no longer supported, appears to be less complicated but just as comprehensive as either Bootstrap 5 or Material Design. In Bootstrap, you have to take out what you don't want. In Materialize, you only include what yo do want.

I tend to believe Google stuff are the most finest solutions, but for now, bootstrap has a lot more community content we can take advantage of, just becase its older.

Is Material Design equal to Material UI? They showed the Material UI Logo but the Material Design Google entry.

I have used both of them before.
Problem with bootstrap is it leads to ugly code and not very unique designs
Material ui is hard to customize and use

Once you start using sx attribute in material ui there is no going back to other ui frameworks

material ui not for beginners because it taken much time to render and slow hang your PC and not working as well at vercel ServerSideProps .. because it takes much more time...
