What an absolutely terrible teacher you had! I'm horrified! Your mother should have had her fired for such racist prejudice.
My children also faced prejudice from the Canadian children. I reported it to the principal. The principal had recently been put in charge of our school while also running her own school. She moved us to her school, where my daughter thrived. While there, she made a friend who's mother always sent papaya in her lunchbox. She hated papaya and my daughter loved it. She had great fun eating her friend's papaya on a regular basis. 😂
Racism shouldn't EVER be tolerated.
